Hello Heidi! As a 14 year old it is so hard to try and eat healthily when I have to go along with whatever the rest of the family is eating! I cook my own lunches and eat what I like for breakfast too, but when surrounded by burgers and mayo-covered salads etc I can't find anything that makes my body feel good after eating. Do you have any tips for simple, feel-good foods to start eating? xo

Hi! Great question, and how awesome that you are connected with your body so much at 14 that you know what does and does not make it feel good! I would recommend sticking to the simplest, most whole foods available to you: fruits, vegetables, nuts, beans, any whole grains that you like. Do you ever cook for your family? That was always my favorite way to eat well: if you are doing the cooking, you know exactly what is in your food, and you can make better choices that way (ie. if you make the salad for your family dinner, you can chose to make a tahini, avocado or hummus dressing, or something that isn’t mayo, but still creamy so that your family won’t notice the mayo missing!) xo
